- ÍtemRedescubriendo el mundo a partir de conceptos geométricos(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Cruz Castillo, Janneth Carolina; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaThe intervention proposal consists of using art as a pretext to rediscover and appropiate mathematical concepts such as geometric shapes, in students of second grade morning journal at the Marsella School; seeking a greater understanding and application of these in their environment. For this purpose, the work of the Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky was used as an instrument. In his works, he introduced geometric shapes to show others how he perceived the world. Through knowledge of the painter’s life and work with some of his works students will be able to find a different way of appropriating these types of concepts as well as introducing artistic manifestations to their context. Giving students the opportunity to have these experiences allows them to open their minds to other forms of learning and to another perspective of the world. When students are able to understand, acquire and appropriate learning, they also have greater opportunities to generate change; they understand how to make use of knowledge for the benefit of themselves and others. The artistic expressions throughout history have allowed man to express his thoughts in a beautiful and even irreverent way, without aggression, without violence, without violation; art is sensitive and delicate, how important it is for the historical moment in which we find ourselves developing that sensitivity, that delicacy, that manifestation on feeling in a peaceful way that only art can facilitate us.
