Sede Bogotá., ) Cortés Hernández, Yanneth; Rodríguez Pérez, María VictoriaThe present work is a qualitative research carried out in the Nueva Inglaterra school with four and five-year-old students, where the need to open recreational spaces within academic subjects that allow them to strengthen and stimulate executive functions is evidenced. During the work, several stages were carried out, a diagnostic stage in which the problem is identified, the formulation of the problem, some objectives, the research methodology, the structure of the theoretical component through a bibliographic search and the elaboration of a intervention proposal in which pedagogical alternatives are presented. From this proposal, based on play, strategies are proposed to strengthen and promote reflection in teachers about recreational activities that improve executive functions, the design of the didactic proposal for the stimulation of executive functions and provide parents with guidelines for stimulate these functions at home.
