Sede Bogotá., ) Guerrero Guaca, Yuli Andrea; Pedrozo Díaz., Lesly Liseth; Correa Ávila, Adriana Marcela; Cuervo Gamboa, Luz MarinaThe general objective of this research was to strengthen ICT-mediated literacy skills in third grade students of the Timba Educational Institution. The methodology was framed within the qualitative research approach. The techniques and instruments used to collect information were the diagnostic test, the semi-structured interview, participant observation and documentary review. The study concluded that, although there are weaknesses in the reading and writing processes of the children of the institution in question and the pedagogical practices of the teachers are traditional, ICTs are a good pedagogical element to develop and strengthen reading and writing skills in children in third grade of elementary school, since they are striking and suitable tools to stimulate learning in students.

The research was developed through the qualitative research method and that allows describing and analyzing collective and individual social behaviors and opinions of thoughts and perceptions. The research process was aimed at developing methodological activities made in a blog called "The magic of reading" that allowed the rescue of the reading comprehension with the management of the technologies, getting the attention of the Students, which made it possible to make Enabled the proposal to be successfully completed. The course of the activities the students have demonstrated a motivation and awareness of the subject of reading and have been inclined to reader process. The implementation of the blog were included images, videos, soups of letters, crossword puzzles and forums developed through TIC tools that allowed the active participation and the interest on the part of the students, generating tables of discussion between them to the readings, making a critical analysis of each, their positions in relation to the theme. It was possible to observe a high participation rate with the progress made by the students, with TIC being a dynamic tool in teaching processes learning.
