Sede Bogotá., ) Corrales Monsalve, Luz Amparo; Guzmán Rodríguez, Gloria JannethCurrently, in the institutional environments considerable quantities of solid waste are produced, which represents one of the main causes that contribute to the environmental pollution of the environment. This situation is quite worrisome for the educational community since the disposal of solid waste, both organic and inorganic, is not adequately carried out. This shows very significant environmental impacts in all the spaces where the different school activities are carried out, and the air and the environment are affected by the generation of rotten odors, product of the decomposition of the organic solid residues that are the most generated by students, restaurants and school store. The increase or proliferation of infectious-contagious animals such as rodents and others that are vectors of diseases is evident. This work seeks to reduce pollution in the institution and to improve changes in the attitudes of the community in general to the management of solid waste. To this end, a relevant program is proposed with activities and actions in which the collaboration and participation of the different actors of the problem is necessary, such as students, teachers, project coordinators, rector, cleaning staff, among others, which must lead to the proper use and disposal of solid waste in the educational community, which consists of workshops, forums, training and the installation of appropriate containers in the institution for the final disposal of organic and inorganic waste, according to the classification and labeling thereof Care of the school environment and sensitize the community in general about the importance of proper management of solid waste. Promote a healthy and sustainable environment.
