- ÍtemPredicción de propiedades petrofísicas a través de componentes principales y regresión lineal múltipleCarreño Peñaloza, Yesid; Lozano Forero, SébastienPetrophysical models, is the most widely used technique in the oil industry to predicting these properties, they are made from the application of Petrophysical equations to the follow variables Gamma Ray (GR), density (RHOZ) Neutron (TNPH), photoelectric factor (PEFZ) Sonic (DT) and resistive (RT), these petrophysical models are approved or discarded by physical testing laboratory and production of crude oil on well, which require time and money. This study used statistical techniques such as principal components and multiple linear regressions for the prediction of the 2 Petrophysical properties most commonly used in performing of oil well completion, clay volume (VCLAY) and porosity (PHIE). Principal component analysis (PCA) and multiple linear regressions were applied to the variables mentioned above; which are taken from a database formed by information of each logs oil well drilled and put into the production in a same oil field with geological and structural homogeneous features. The results of VCLAY and PHIE; obtained by the conventional method of a petrophysical model and statistical techniques were compared one by one. This proves that by applying statistical techniques can make decisions on well completion.
