Sede Bogotá., ) Carranza Beltran, Nelida Carmelina; Rodríguez Pérez, María VictoriaThe formative research process presented in this document was developed at Colegio Ricaurte I.E.D. It describes the methodological and conceptual elements that comprised the investigative development, applied to a group of fourth grade children, supported by the generation of play-centered pedagogical strategies to facilitate the learning of students between the ages of 8 and 10. In the first stage of the formative research process carried out, which ends with the characterization of practices and discourses, it is achieved with the direct observation of the children of the fourth grade of the institution and the methodological accompaniment of the teacher in charge. Identifying as a problem the scarcity of motivating activities for the learning of the students, and the routine of actions inside the classroom. Once the problem is detected, the intervention phase begins, which determines the actions through the classroom pedagogical project, which proposes the game as a learning strategy in the fourth grade; determining the pertinent actions, the specific participation roles of the different educational agents such as teachers, parents, and students of the institution. In this way, the application of strategies focused on the game allows changing the methodological process and formalizing planned actions, which respond to the interests and needs of the students, to contribute with concrete and pertinent actions to the improvement of the quality of education in the city
