Sede Bogotá., ) Cano Perdomo, Pedro Miguel; Gonzalez Veloza, John FredyRenewable energies have been the new priority in the political, economic and social development agendas worldwide. Colombia has not been immune to this paradigm shift in the generation of energy solutions for the most vulnerable populations. Due Colombia has a large part of its population not interconnected to the national network. This situation has led populations that lack these basic services to seek alternatives to meet their energy needs, seeking comprehensive solutions that provide these remote, non-interconnected areas with energy, food and water security. The importance of having precise values of solar radiation on the surface, in any area of the country, is essential for multiple disciplines, however, there are few records available, due to the large areas of land that the department of Vichada and the insufficient quantity of stations specialized in the collection of this physical magnitude. Colombia, due to its geographical position, is a powerhouse in natural resources for energy generation, being located on the equator, it receives a large amount of solar radiation throughout the year, this radiation is of vital importance for the generation of photovoltaic energy and energy thermal, which have established themselves as an increasingly strong alternative to provide solutions to energy problems throughout the country
