From From this perspective, in the degree work that is presented below, a didactic strategy with fourth grade students, since it is necessary that from children are motivated, taught and aware of this vital resource, guiding children and girls about the impacts generated when rivers, seas, lakes and oceans are hit by man because of the pollution he generates. The methodological strategy was divided into three phases; students' prior knowledge design and implementation of a booklet as a didactic strategy and its subsequent evaluation, the The population involved were 14 students of the fourth grade of the Educational Institution Las Huacas in Popayan-Cauca. This primer is divided into units with their respective content. theme and at the end of each unit, evaluation activities are contemplated that allow to consolidate knowledge on each topic. As techniques and instruments, observation and survey to determine the knowledge of the students, with respect to the conservation of water sources, then simple descriptive statistics were used, summarizing through figures, tables and graphs the results obtained and later, the theory was used based on the qualitative analysis of the information. Finally, the results obtained with the implementation of the didactic strategy were positive, because the boys and girls were able to understand the importance of conserving the water sources as support for life.
