Sede Bogotá., ) Ramos Trujillo, Branlinzon; Ayala Ramírez, María Eugenia; Zapata Calle, Nancy; Martelo Gaviria, Jorge LuisThis study denominated The protection and conservation of the environment through the pedagogy practice and some artistic processes, has a purpose to contribute and strengthen the protection and conservation of the environment, aimed at fourth grade students from the Leónidas Mosquera Zuñiga school, which belongs to the Alfredo Posada Correa Educational Institution located at Pradera, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The aim is to contribute to the PRAE project through artistic processes, for teaching environmental education. This research was based on the following theories: Environmental concepts emanating from the National Environmental System, SINA (2013), Currents in Environmental Education of Sauvé (2005), the PRAE project dos of Vygotsky (1924) and the multiple intelligences of Gardner (1983). The methodology used had a mixed approach, using qualitative and quantitative data collection and study with a nonexperimental design. The information gathering techniques that we used were: observation, interview and survey, using the ALFAM questionnaire for the latter, which develops specific questions about environmental knowledge and behaviors. The instruments were applied to parents, teachers and students, with a total population of 20 students. From the results obtained with the applied instruments, the inputs found for the pedagogical proposal Art and photography, an environmental experience, this being an proposal that allowed students to demonstrate sensitivity, motivation and interest in environmental and artistic knowledge, in order to protect the environment.
