Sede Bogotá., ) Ardila Hernández, Mary Esnit; Pérez Benítez, Johan HernánWhen talking about transversality, it is thought that is a rather difficult educational concept because we look at each of the basic areas of knowledge as a solitary axis that will have no relationship with the other areas and much less with problems of an everyday nature. For years this educational process was understood as something normal and that it had no consequences on the teaching and learning process but as international education standards they placed new challenges, competencies and processes additionally the introduction of technology, the importance of forming networks where all areas of knowledge made their contribution to the training of competent students who are able to generate possible solutions to problems that arise day by day in our environment was visualized. For this reason, in the Colegio Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento FDI aims to mainstream the basic areas of knowledge from the students in basic secondary (grades 6th and 7th) using the approach of a research project which in the first six months was intended to orient students about that is, that entails and how it is formed a project, and then move on to the development of the same but by focusing on environmental issues current proposing a possible solution.
