- ÍtemCon música aprendo y a mi colegio sigo yendoArévalo Mejía, Rogerio de jesús; Ibáñez Velandia, Aura YanethThe main objective of this work of qualitative order with a descriptive approach and with the line of institutional research called: pedagogy, media and mediations, is to promote music as a pedagogical strategy within the classroom to decrease the marked rate of school dropout of students. The constant school desertion of students from different educational institutions is due to different reasons, among which are highlighted: return of families to their place of origin when they temporarily live in the city due to forced displacement, transfer to another area of the city , lack of interest of the student to continue with their studies, monotony of the daily classes, among others; the previous aspects by which the population of grade 8-9, linked to the Back to School Program of the José Maria Vargas Vila School located in the City of Ciudad Bolívar in the city of Bogotá in the afternoon, is out of school and vulnerable, and added to this it is possible that many other factors of risk subsequent to the desertion affect this population, such as the consumption of psychoactive substances, or the conformation of street groups, delinquency among others. This situation has generated difficulties in the implementation and good development of a teaching-learning process.
