Sede Bogotá., ) Acevedo León, Diego Fernando; Cuervo Gamboa, Luz MarinaThe current work proposes a didactic strategy that initially motivates the practice of reading in sixth graders from Santa Bárbara school, of the municipality San Pablo de Borbur in Boyacá. Due to the design and interaction that it generates, in addition to the reading workshops that are structured from the school terms which are four per year and to each one of them corresponds a series of topics called “reasons” inspired by the work of José Luis Martín Descalzo, that gives the title to each of the school terms, with a marked training and human interest with four workshops created in google forms for each one of the terms, as follows: in the first term, it is called reasons for love and addresses self-esteem and youth identity; the second term is called reasons for hope and joy, which emphasizes the construction and projection of the life project and the resilience to face the difficulties of life; the third term is called reasons to live, that seeks to grant deep meanings to human existence in the young population; and finally, reasons from the other shore that seeks from the interpretation and reading of images to promote reading skills in the group of students. It must be noted that initially in the heading of each reading workshop there is a question that seeks to interpret the realities that the students of this school live and that affect the meaning of schooling from their motivation, learning, school failure and academic performance.
