Sede Bogotá., ) Acero Gómez, Jenny Johana; Avendaño Gutiérrez, Yurleidis; Conde Duarte, Ingrid Tatiana; Cortés Torres, Johana; Daza Piragauta, JavierThe objective of this document is to implement a pedagogical strategy to promote environmental culture in seventh grade students of the San Luis Gonzaga educational institution. The research is developed from the qualitative approach and an action-research methodology. Instruments such as an entrance survey using the Likert scale method, expositions and observation records, applied to the students to obtain precise information about the knowledge they have about good practices that promote environmental care; also a playful feedback activity and finally a knowledge and recognition test to obtain precise information about the students' knowledge about adequate environmental practices. This strategy seeks to generate spaces for reflection and participation for the entire educational community in general, and to promote the adoption of an environmental culture that contributes to the common welfare. Likewise, the linkage of the school to the community is important, because from this relationship transformation processes can be generated that affect the individual development of particular contextual references, this development should start from the knowledge of the environment and its management of existing environmental problems, which will allow a dynamic interaction for the construction of new projects aimed at improving the quality of life. This is how the school plays an important role in the education of people for the formation of knowledge related to the protection of the environment, through a linkage of environmental education to the content of the subjects in the different types of teaching in a transversal way, so that it allows them to participate in environmental problems and provides them with a space to develop their environmental skills.
