Thus, the purpose of the project is to analyze and describe in detail the perceptions of the sample that consisted of 4 grandparents, 27 parents and 30 children who experienced school punishment directly or indirectly in Bogota´s educational contexts, mentioning the modalities, the causes, the justifications, the coherence and the relation with the formation of autonomy that the school punishment has in the old and the current classrooms. In this way, the project was directed by a descriptive qualitative approach methodology, which allowed us to observe that school punishment still occurs in educational institutions. However, the modalities used are no longer violent or that threaten the physical integrity of the students, but on the contrary humiliating methods or deprivations are used, such as recreation and food. Thus, the purpose of this project was to determine that school punishment is a method that must be modified in educational contexts, since they undermine the rights and development of children and that may have repercussions for In the long term, therefore, it is recommended to follow the research thread to be able to design a proposal that reduces teacher practices in the face of school punishment
