Sede Bogotá., ) Rubiano Lara, Carlos Fernando; Nova Manosalva, Omar ArielThe students of the Instituto Técnico de Oriente located in Ubaqué, Cundinamarca, have difficulty solving problems related to the addition of rational numbers, which is why it is important to reinforce aspects of reasoning in the process, through didactic strategies supported by gamification, seeking in the students that they understand and operate correctly within their context. According to the above, the aim is to answer the question: What type of methodological strategies should be implemented so that students overcome the difficulties they present when solving problems with rational numbers? To this end, the objective of the research is to propose pedagogical strategies supported by gamification to strengthen the learning of rational numbers in seventh grade students of the aforementioned institution. The methodology is quasi-experimental and consists of the application of a diagnostic pretest, the design of a didactic sequence and a posttest to evaluate the process.
