Sede Bogotá., ) Coronado Sarria, César Augusto; Mujica Velandia, Magaly; Agreda Sigindioy, Carlos Hernando; Bedoya Monroy, Paola AndreaThe present work focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the strategy of the pedagogical reflection axis "There is a future if there is truth" of the Truth Commission, within the framework of raising awareness of social peace, thus seeking to generate the bases to build lasting peace. The key informants are tenth grade students from three educational institutions in Colombia: Francisco de Paula Santander, in Cartagena, Bolívar; Rafael Reyes Rural Educational Institution, in Puerto Guzmán, Putumayo and La Florida Rural Educational Institution, in Milan, Caquetá. Initially, the previous knowledge on restorative justice and the role of the legacy of the Truth Commission were determined, then, later, the pedagogical reflection axis "There is a future if there is truth", emanated by the Truth Commission, was later implemented, the impact of the pedagogical reflection axis previously described was described and finally the effectiveness of the strategy "There is a future if there is truth" was analyzed in relation to the contexts where the study is carried out. The approach is qualitative, and the focus group, the workshop proposed by the Truth Commission in the pedagogical strategy "There is a future if there is truth" and a reflective workshop to observe the impact of the work carried out are used as instruments. The results obtained are framed in recognizing, to a large extent, the meaning and awareness of the issues of restorative justice and the role of the legacy of the Truth Commission.
