La estimulación temprana y adecuada incide en el desarrollo motor durante la primera infancia; sin embargo, el desconocimiento de su importancia y el uso prolongado
de aparatos tecnológicos hoy día es frecuente y genera un obstáculo en el desarrollo integral de los bebes. Por ende, el objetivo planteado en el presente estudio es evaluar una propuesta pedagógica para el desarrollo de las habilidades motoras finas y gruesas en un bebe de 12 a 24 meses, a partir de la estimulación sensorial. El enfoque es cualitativo y adopta como método la investigación acción; y los instrumentos para recopilar datos son: entrevistas, lista de chequeo y diarios de campo; la muestra estuvo conformada por un bebe y sus cuidadores. Los hallazgos indican que desde muy temprana edad se da el uso del celular y la Tablet, debido a las múltiples ocupaciones laborales y cansancio de los cuidadores, generando una escasez en experiencias y oportunidades de estimulación por lo que al bebe se le dificultaba explorar el medio, degustar y palpar varias texturas, así como seguir instrucciones. La propuesta diseñada, implementada y evaluada indica que se presentó un adecuado desarrollo motor del bebe y los cuidadores comprendieron la importancia de estimularlo, así como de desarrollar actividades específicas para su edad. Se sugiere seguir investigando sobre el tema con el fin de brindar estímulos a los bebes, que los preparen para la vida escolar, a la vez que desarrollan sus habilidades cognitivas, motoras y sociales.
Early and adequate stimulation has an impact on motor development during early childhood; however, the lack of knowledge of its importance and the prolonged use of technological devices is frequent nowadays and generates an obstacle in the integral development of babies. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate a pedagogical proposal for the development of fine and gross motor skills in a 12 to 24 month old baby, based on sensory stimulation. The approach is qualitative and adopts action research as a method; and the instruments used to collect data are: interviews, checklist and field diaries; the sample consisted of a baby and its caregivers. The findings indicate that from a very early age, the use of cell phones and Tablets is common, due to the multiple occupations and tiredness of the caregivers, generating a shortage of experiences and opportunities for stimulation, making it difficult for the baby to explore the environment, taste and feel various textures, as well as to follow instructions. The proposal designed, implemented and evaluated indicates that the baby's motor development was adequate and the caregivers understood the importance of stimulating him, as well as developing specific activities for his age. It is suggested to continue researching on the subject in order to provide stimuli to babies, which prepare them for school life, while developing their cognitive, motor and social skills.
