Diseño de un prototipo de filtro casero para la potabilización del agua de la comunidad de Carepa, Antioquia

Abstract

The present educational intervention project entitled, ‘’Design of a prototype of a homemade filter for the purification of water in the community of Carepa, Antioquia’’, aims to contribute to improving the quality of water consumed by the community of the municipality. As we know, life on earth exists thanks to the presence of water on the planet, since it is one of the most important resources for living beings. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of, preserve and intervene in the water sources and springs of our environment, because our present and future depend on it; in the methodology, a qualitative type of research is proposed, through which a pedagogical work will be carried out with the community of the municipality of Carepa - Antioquia. The intervention to be carried out within the action research will be carried out through the following activities: a search of previous knowledge of the community through a survey instrument and documentary research; a diagnosis of the problem of water quality; a workshop for the elaboration of homemade water filters and analysis of samples; and finally an evaluation of the intervention process of the proposal, seeking to raise awareness about the care of this natural resource, through pedagogical actions that strengthen environmental skills, which can contribute to generating a better environmental awareness regarding the care of the environment, increasing the sense of belonging to the natural resources and positively transcending in the maintenance of balance with the environment.
