El manejo de residuos sólidos orgánicos en la galería del municipio de Puerto Tejada- Cauca, Colombia

Abstract

Day by day tons of organic waste are being generated in our country that in the end become garbage that feeds the landfills. These landfills are increasing the contamination rates and becoming an environmental and health problem due to the possible proliferation of vectors and rodents in the municipality of Puerto Tejada Cauca for the sector where they are located. The main idea of the project is to mitigate the environmental contamination generated by the solid organic waste coming out of the municipality's gallery and in this way seek or establish a very good final disposition for this waste which can be used in the elaboration of compost. Taking into account different readings, it is evident that worldwide there are projects oriented to the reuse of this type of waste, creating farms or integral farms in which nothing is lost and others where all the organic waste is raw material for the fertilization of the fields. The reuse of organic wastes is proposed as a solution that could be feasible and can be carried out in small municipalities and that in turn can become a supply of raw materials for the activities developed in the municipality, taking into account that it is a municipality whose livelihood is mostly based on traditional agriculture.
