The present research contains a qualitative approach, since it allows demonstrating that the game is one of the means that allows the teacher to improve the forms of teaching, facilitating the learning of all children; therefore part of the need and importance of the game in education, and thus be able to answer the guiding question How the strategies based on the game contribute to the teaching of the processes of reading and writing and the area of mathematics of the boys and girls of the fourth grade of the Sorrento School IED Headquarters B?. Changes as well as progress in the students and, above all, it was demonstrated that the game is a useful tool in the teaching processes, given that it allows the acquisition of significant skills and knowledge.
