Sede Bogotá., ) Rios Muñoz, Vicky Isabel; Sánchez Rojas, César AugustoThe reasons why most of the students show apathy, disinterest, confusion and little appropriation of the basic concepts in subjects such as physics and chemistry are varied, among them the lack of motivation and the predisposition to which they are complicated subjects, difficult to understand and unimportant for his life. In the present work "Teaching and meaningful learning of the concept of the atom through play and modeling" a series of recreational activities are proposed to implement how aims to achieve significant learning about to the different models proposed by the atom, its differences and main characteristics in students of the seventh grade of the Hector Jaramillo Duque Educational Institution, Puerto Lleras (Meta), so student population is not alien about this problem and has the highest number of repeaters in the educational establishment. The project is part of the qualitative approach of a descriptive type, and has been enrolled in the Pedagogy Media and Mediations institutional line, emphasizing pedagogy, since the ultimate goal of this work is to intervene in a pedagogical (educational) problem of these students. In relation to the last part, in this project, the intervention proposal "To the atom I am approaching ... Playing, practicing and modeling!" which is divided into three moments, and has been recorded in chapter 4 of the present document.
