- ÍtemDiseño de un dispositivo reductor de la resistencia aerodinámica en un bus intermunicipal(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Ayala Zuluaga, Jimmy Alexander; Martínez Castañeda, Diego Fernando; Valbuena Aguilera, Jeisson Stiven; Vaca Rios, John JairoAerodynamics is one of the fundamental pillars in the design of any vehicle that travels through the air, given that the interaction between the fluid and the body in movement generate a number of forces attributed to the shape, size and the surface of the body. These forces not being controlled can affect the safety or the vehicle's efficiency and its components. Intercity buses are one of the vehicles most affected by the Drag force, which one can be reduced through different methods. This document presents the design of a series of aerodynamic devices that seek to reduce the Drag resistance in a scale model of a bus with the bodywork similar to the Marcopolo 1200 G7, altering the characteristics of the air flow over it. An aerodynamic study was carried out based on experimental tests in subsonic wind tunnel and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation in ANSYS-Fluent obtaining the Drag Coefficient and identifying the flow behavior. All the procedures and tests were executed in two stages, the first with the model of the original bus and a second with the built-in devices. The first stage allowed establishing the reference data and the zones of the bus suitable for the incorporation of the devices, from the second series of tests the comparison of the results obtained in the previous phase was made, determining the effectiveness of each device. It was found experimentally that the Laterales device reduces the aerodynamic resistance by 20.37% with respect to the data obtained from the bus without alterations in its surface, being the device more efficient. Despite the promising experimental results, it was not possible to validate computationally the reducing of coefficient of drag the implement the devices.
