Sede Bogotá., ) Lopez Restrepo, Ana Delia; Daza Piragauta, JavierThe following educational intervention project aims to strengthen the reading comprehension of fifth grade students at the La Unión Rural Educational Institution of San Vicente del Caguán, through didactic sequences based on the use of Flash Cards. In this way, we seek to reduce difficulties in reading comprehension; to achieve the proposed objective. It is carried out based on the development of three phases, in the first a diagnosis was made on the levels of reading comprehension at a literal level, in the second phase the results are analyzed and a playful model is also designed to strengthen the reading habit of students to understand texts and extract ideas from them, in phase three the playful strategy is implemented through the use of Flash Cards. On the other hand, what Cooper proposes related to reading comprehension is taken as a reference, who comments that comprehension is the process of constructing meaning. It is necessary to implement strategies that lead to reflection and experimentation of the text, the environment and the reader. The approach used in this project was qualitative aimed at action research, taking eighteen fifth grade students as a sample (18). Therefore, the implementation of this intervention project allows the student to acquire skills in the communicative skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and thereby improve their academic performance.
