Sede Bogotá., ) López Sánchez, Sigrid Viviana; Jiménez Hurtado, Javier EnriqueNoise has become a public health issue in big cities due to the rapid growth of population, cars, electronic devices and human activities such as (transportation, building construction, public works, industries and events in commercial establishments). This is the case of the city of Bogotá D.C., which has high levels of ―noise‖ that exceed the established norms and directly impact the inhabitants causing auditory and extra-auditory problems, affecting the physical, mental and emotional health of citizens. Among the main causes of hearing impairment, there is the recurrent use of mobile devices and their accessories (headphones), by the new generations, however, young people spend more time with electronic devices every day because they interact through them to communicate, for recreation, identify and establish more contacts in your social group. This abuse of the use of such devices leads to questioning what society is doing to mitigate the effects of excessive use of hearing aids in university students in the city of Bogotá D.C.; And how to raise awareness about this segment of users? Therefore, the objective of this project is to create a communication campaign that helps raise awareness among young people about the issue, for this purpose the profile of young people and the motivations for the constant use of hearing aids were established; it was asked how the use of hearing aids constantly affects the physical and mental health of young people; It was established that communication campaigns have been carried out to raise awareness among young people and the impact they have had on that population. The research structure is sustained in terms of communication, emphasizing awareness strategies focused on the prevention of physical and mental pathologies, caused by abuse in the use of hearing aids in young university students of middle stratum of the city of Bogotá D.C.
