Sede Bogotá., ) Garzón Bacca, Angela María; Flórez Huertas, Nelson EnriqueLearning through play is a term used in education and psychology to describe how a child can learn to make sense of the world around them. Through play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Key ways that young children learn include playing, being with other people, being active, exploring and new experiences, talking to themselves, communication with others, meeting physical and mental challenges, being shown how to do new things, practicing and repeating skills and having fun. Research as a learning strategy can occur in formal and non-formal contexts, these being alongside dynamic, changing, flexible and technological environments. The contemporary pedagogical trend seeks educational environments that are transformative and there is a two-way relationship between teachers and students, where the context can be educational or social. The research provides strategies to achieve self-learning and training, seeking within the education a reflective teacher who builds knowledge, forms the teaching learning process, shares his knowledge through interactive actions. The practice-oriented pedagogical research is based on the observation exercises and the systematic recording of the observed, which leads to contextualize, understand and enable the creation of transforming knowledge. Learning favors research processes through collaborative work (learning to learn), problem solving (Participatory-critical thinking) and practice (real events within a context).
