Sede Bogotá., ) Cano Segura, Carmen Milena; Flórez Huertas, Nelson EnriqueThis proposal aims to design pedagogical, didactic and amusing strategies that allow the teacher to have innovative tools to promote effective learning situations and to solve a specific problem, in this case from the weaknesses presented by fifth-grade students, in terms of basic communication skills. The strategy that is designed, has the title Seedbed of knowledge, whose purpose is to develop activities that strengthen the students' communicative skills in relation to the practice in the field from a school garden of medicinal plants, and other activities that involve families, to create bonds of affection and at the same time commitment, since in the students the lack of listening and guidance at home is perceived. It is proposed to use the language characterization strategy that ICFES designs together with the All to Learn program of the Ministry of National Education, as a diagnostic and follow-up tool, and from there to be able to perform an analysis of the process, to determine where to start and which projections should be taken into account with that school group, to achieve better results in standardized tests. This is a proposal that can be adapted to implement at the institutional level, since the problem presented does not only occur in the fifth grade.
