- ÍtemDanzando y pintando descubro mi ser(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Callejas Ramírez, Yasmin; Delgado Rincón, Laura Carolina; Perdomo Gónzalez, Natalia Alejandra; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaWomen population of several ages is immersed in a wide variety of educational scenarios, whether formal and non-formal, in which a lot of aspects of their lives converge that are directly or indirectly reflected in the spaces that they develop teaching-learning processes, evidenced by emotional situations such as low self-esteem. From the teaching practice in these educational scenarios, it is proposed to develop processes of self-knowledge through dancing and the plastic arts to strengthen self-esteem, based on a strategy called "Artsteem" composed by four artistic workshops, in which every woman's own life experiences, the recognition of her emotions, acceptance and solidarity among them, are woven through creative actions around movement, rhythm, body expression, color and drawing to foster the sensitivity and positive perception about herself and, also strengthen self-esteem, as a relevant aspect of personality in the integral women’ development inside of their different contexts of life. Art in education must go gaining a more meaningful space that allows students of different ages to transcend and develop skills not only scientific and intellectual, but also those that permit them to deploy their creativity, imagination and emotional expression, as well as symbolic ways but with their attitudes, their body and their gestures; that means to express with all their senses, in order to contribute for a more integral education in which the sensitive part of the student is managed, necessarily stimulated it for interactions with society, what it is essential to include individuals who are interested in humanization through simple acts like self-love, sharing and respecting the ideas of others
