Sede Bogotá., ) Burbano, María Magdalena; Maigual Catuche, Gladis Ruth; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaThe work arose from the problem found in students in grade 5 of the Rural Educational Institution (IER) Alto Afán, headquarters Quince de Mayo, to produce texts in writing; This is evidenced in the difficulty of generating a clear and coherent structure when communicating their learning in the different areas of study. In this sense, the design and implementation of a Didactic Sequence (SD) was proposed as a pedagogical strategy to improve the production of explanatory texts based on the significant experience “Flor de Mayo School Garden” as a pretext for students to be motivated to write From the acquired knowledge, which needs to be written for its transcendence, this experience is based on artistic activities where the student has the opportunity to design, draw, paint, express their creativity, express their imagination and their feelings. The didactic sequence is developed in 8 sessions, called like this: session 1: The mural of my photos, session 2: I paint with words what I learned, session 3: Observing and reading I am classifying, Session 4: Evaluating I am improving, Session 5: With my teacher and my friends I write happily, session 6: Let's write with a partner, session 7: Let's write an instructive text alone and Session 8: I share what I learned, drawing and coloring. The development of artistic activities and significant proposals within the didactic sequence, in addition to strengthening written production, allowed to improve teamwork and coexistence relationships among fifth grade students.
