- ÍtemDiseño de estrategias pedagógicas para reducir la deserción académica de los estudiantes del programa profesional de logística en la modalidad virtual de la Institución Universitaria Manuela BeltránAriza Taborda, Jonathan Alejandro; Pachon Pedraza, Hugo Almeiro; Gómez Romero, Ana DoloresFor several years, the Manuela Beltrán University institution, in its Virtual modality, has been developing actions from academic programs, in order to reduce desertion and promote inclusion and permanence. Dropout is considered as those students who are intermittent in training, that is, who leave for a while, but may return to their jobs. Academic mortality is that number of students who have academic loss, drop out and who definitely never return. This program is aimed at a population, who, because of their geographical location, work, or other causes, do not have the possibility of attending physical facilities, with the infrastructure that may be offered by other universities, which are generally located in cities. This research aims to reduce academic desertion and mortality rates in said academic program, through the planning, design and management of strategies that favor the permanence, inclusion and intervention of students at risk. This seeks to ensure that these students achieve their professional studies in a positive manner, which allows them to build an adequate life project and therefore promotes conditions that generate a sustainable socio-economic development for families, the community and the country in general, based on the commitment and social responsibility that the University has to face the demands of the environment, together with the public policies issued by the Ministry of National Education regarding the issue of inclusion and permanence.
