- ÍtemDiviértete Con El Inglés(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Valenzuela Roldán, Celene; Echavarría García, Olga Lucía; 2016This project intends to show the value of music as a tool essential in the process of learning English as a foreign language. It is based on a theoretical foundation supported by many authors who underline the importance of music in This process. Music provides an integral method, since it works as a vehicle that accelerates the educational process in a practical way. This way of teaching English, based on Music improves students' abilities in many aspects of their lives. The reason is that an integral education implies the development of values, communicative abilities, solution of problems, autonomy and the free expression of feelings and emotions. Furthermore, through music, students acquire the ability to learn and enjoy the foreign language, as well as the correct use of grammar rules. The strategies applied in this study were carried out through didactic workshops in the which the students had to interpret, learn and practice songs, while they were aware of the skills they were developing. We adapted a quantitative analysis through a survey in order to know the attitudes, positive or negative of students towards learning English. The sample was carried out with 80 eleventh grade high school students. The results show that students know the importance of learning English to improve their quality of life and their future, and who prefer more dynamic classes than classics because they spark your motivation.
